What is GAMMA Online?
It’s a community portal just for GAMMA members. It’s private, secure, there’s no advertising, and it’s free to all GAMMA Members!
Is GAMMA Online using Facebook?
No! We use Humhub, an open source community platform. It’s our own installation and setup specifically for GAMMA. Communicate like you already do in other social networks, but with our own rules. Write posts and updates, share photos, like and comment the way you want.
How does it look?
Using GAMMA Online starts with Spaces. A space can literally be anything, a project, a group or just a simple topic. You can even invite your friends to a Space!
While we are building our community we have set up 11 Spaces:
- General Discussions – Start a discussion on any topic, and people can join in
- Entertainment – Got a favourite movie, book, TV show, musical, band, song, or even a poem? Share it and have a conversation about it!
- GAMMA Online Feedback – Got some suggestions for GAMMA Online? Lets us know in this Space.
- Legal Issues – Ask questions about family law and we will get them answered by our friends at Marsdens Law Group!
- Melbourne – A space for those in Melbourne or maybe you have friends there.
- Relationships – Navigating relationships can sometimes be difficult. How can we help?
- Sexual Health – Let’s talk about sex and how to stay healthy!
- Social Events – Social Events will be posted here and will also appear in the main Calendar
- Support Meetings – All Support and Zoom Meetings will be posted here with links to Zoom registration pages
- Sydney – A space for those who live in Sydney or maybe you have friends that do?
- Welcome Space – Introduce yourself in this space so we can all get to know each other.
GAMMA also has a Discord server so you can have text, voice, and video chats. More on that later.
